“diaspora” // גלות is a portal; a love letter to warmth, belonging, & timetravel— to our vast landbased traditions, healing herbalism practices, and rituals woven into the sacred fractals & synchronicities of earth, ecosystems, moon cycles, cosmos.
גלות is an ode to the homes we create. to our infiniteness like earth itself. we are varied, traveled, tender, rooted, evergrowing, shapeshifting, lush, blossoming, evermoving. i hope to uplift the many ways we—and our ancestors before//with us— cultivate reverent relationships with earth and home: a rooted and humbling pillar of jewishness, even when we have been so cyclically uprooted ourselves.
it’s hard but necessary to unearth, share, & heal together. to truly let ourselves feel each stolen moment after exile, each violent betrayal, each loss of motherland. i honor not only of the loss of life, land, and belonging… but also the beauty of diaspora. the remembrance of lands & plants that long for us. the resilience & transformation that comes from witnessing every emotion of loss & lineage, and re//membering the mountains and oceans that bridge us together.
may we bloom borderless, liberated, compassionate, & healing worlds of belonging into existence.
