✡︎ shalom aleichem ✡︎

my name is em, emma, or ezra עֶזְרָא

thank you so much for crossing paths with me, for reading and connecting, however it happened- and for holding my excitement and gratitude as i offer my services & prepare to share my art for the first time. i am an artist, spiritual astrologer, diviner & tarot reader, musician, poet & writer, shapeshifter, heartfeeler, seedling herbalist, & ashkenazi jewitch.

about me, solidarity, & how i got here::

after receiving a bachelor's degree in classical & near eastern archaeology shortly before the pandemic, i learned that my love of ancient art, astrology, myths, & the exploration of divinity through sacred landscapes were all inextricably intertwined with my jewishness. my love for divination and ritual comes from a long line of ashkenazi wisdom, herbalism & magic-but i will always see myself as a beginner in the expansive, infinite worlds of mysticism.

i am always diving deeper into the vast ocean of knowledge & lessons, ever growing, learning, and ever changing.

notes on solidarity, archaeology, & my values:

although archaeology is the only realm i would have ever enjoyed studying in school, the field of archaeology is one of many disciplines steeped in- and inextricably intertwined with- yt supremacy, colonization, & desecration of global Indigenous cultures, materials, human remains, art, and ways of life. i always told myself that if i ever became involved in archaeology post-grad, i would only study & dig into what is ”mine;" culturally and/or ancestrally.

let me be very clear: archaeology happening in Palestine-the same as in many places- is incredibly extractive, harmful, & weaponized to displace Palestinians. i'll speak more about this as time goes on, pulling from Palestinian & Jewish scholars. furthermore, seeing as western & eastern europe are still wildly dangerous for Jewish people, & how much of our culture has been looted, desecrated & destroyed by others, i don't see myself being an field archaeologist any time soon, if ever.

i believe deeply in being in community with- and supporting the art, practices, & creations of- people who share our beliefs and values. here are mine:

i'm a white, queer, nonbinary, third generation settler colonist of ashkenazi & mixed european//mediterranean lineages living in lenapehoking, west philadelphia, on turtle island. my practices are informed & rooted deeply with love & intention in my jewishness, ancestors, existence in diaspora, and in tikkun olam- repairing & healing the world- through de-assimilating, decolonizing, & combatting the ever-present violences of yt supremacy, global capitalism, gender violence, & imperialism. i find inspiration in Black radical thought & revolutionaries, and firmly believe in land back, antizionism, indigenous sovereignty, and my role as a jewish person to support Palestinian liberation & return of land to all those forcibly displaced.

[jewish & palestinian solidarity always].

in this space, my DIVINATORY SESSIONS will always be on a sliding or trade scale for Black &/or Indigenous people.

i will also highlight other artists, healers, & fundraisers, and in the future i hope to split earnings from different prints. there is no space for healing, divination, or mystical work that is not in solidarity or community with Black & Indigenous kin. it is my responsibility to honor my loved ones in this lifetime, as well as my honorable ancestors who made community and found radical, antifascist solidarity with other marginalized & indigenous people, plant allies, & lands amidst every exile, genocide, & displacement for millennia.

it is a gift & privilege to have the option of opening my books and offering these practices and wisdom to you all- and it is an even deeper gift to know there are still so many more seedlings for me to share with you in the future- creations, lessons, studies that are just below the soil.

as a primary caretaker for my dad along with my mom, as well as someone who lives with quomrades (our loving term for quarantine comrades) who are at a higher risk for COVID, working from home & having a flexible schedule is of the deepest importance to me and the health of my loved ones in this moment.

feel free to message me any time with questions about booking or my values, the mysteries of life, the wonders of fractals & our universe, chosen families, or if you just want to kvell about diaspora, the homes we've made, lives we've lived, the mountains and oceans we've crossed. reach out ❁

Handcrafted Small Batch Artisanal Creations

unique & artisanal

each piece of jewelry & judaica is handmade with resin materials as well as real and artificial plants, moss, & botanicals picked and pressed in my home.

b’samim earrings are blessed after i’ve made them, and each piece is created with gentle care and awareness of plant, herbal, & protection magic in the jewish tradition.

because my earrings are unique and handcrafted, repetitive pieces have “imperfections” and will never be exact replicas of images posted of them, or the same as each other.

art prints

in making my art prints, i try to create portals; doorways into new & other worlds.

each print is a combination of my own photography as well as landscape & botanical photos from online databases. i work predominantly with canva, which provides me with all the tools to weave & collage my images.

most of my prints are 18”W x 24”H & made with eco-conscious, durable, premium glossy photo paper. contact me via email if you’d like a custom artwork created for you, or if you’d like a print in a custom size.

all packaging used for shipping is 100% recycled & biodegradable.
